- Pre-Solicitation Notice: Design/Build services for dredging of the Boat Basin at U. S. Coast Guard Station St. Ignace, MI. The work includes, but is not limited to, dredging and disposal of approximately 10,000 cubic yards of material from the Station St. Ignace boat basin and incidental related work. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 09-C03070 and Drawings No. 9-C03070 (sheets 1 - 3). All work shall be completed within 270 calendar days after Award. The work includes a base bid with unit price bid items. The solicitation will be available on the FedBizOpps web site on or about April 4, 2006. The approximate date for bid opening for Solicitation No. HSCG47-06-B-3EFK10 is May 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Norfolk, Virginia. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237990 and the small business size standard is $18.5 Million. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR THE HISTORICALLY UNDERUTILIZED BUSINESS ZONE (HUBZONE) SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. (Status as a qualified HUBZone small business concern is determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and SBA will issue a certification to that affect in accordance with 13 CFR part 126.) Offers that are not from qualified HUBZone small business concerns shall not be considered and shall be rejected. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY BY INTERNET AT http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must REGISTER at this web site and download plans and specifications. The official planholders list will be created from the internet registration and will be available from the website only. Amendments will be posted on the website for downloading. This will be the normal method of distributing amendments. It is therefore the offeror’s responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to this solicitation.
