Description
The USDA, Agricultural Research Services in Albany, California has a requirement for a Quantitative Polynerase Chain Reaction (QPCR) System. Instrument Specifications: Detector: Five-position filter wheel and single photomultiplier tube Sample format: Standard 96-well plates, 8-strip tubes, or 200ul tubes; Optimized for 25 ul reactions. Embedded computer collects and saves experiment data during computer power failure or crash. System Specifications: -Multiplex up to five (5) dyes simultaneously. -Excitation range: 350 to 850nm -Thermal block ramp rate: Up to 2.5 deg. C per second -Amplification rate: Standard 40 cycle 2-step QPCR reaction completed in 90 minutes; the same reaction is completed in 60 minutes using FullVelocity SYBR Green QPCR & QRT-PCR reagent (without dissociation) -Discrimination: Distinguish samples with 5,000 and 10,000 template copies with a 99.7% confidence level. -The QPCR system must have embedded software on the instrument to record and stor data. -Independent filter wheel alignment feature enables FRET signal detection. -View raw fluorescence data without any mathematical correction or calibration factors. -View and analyze real-time PCR amplification plots during the run. -Flexible analysis options: amplification plots, scatter plots, standard curve charts, fluorescence intensity, final call results, melting curve, annealing range, and text report. -Software must have an automated algorithm to individually optimize each well for baseline correction, including an automated relative quantification analysis for gene expression -The software must be able to export any chart or graph directly into .ppt, .bmp, .txt, .xls, and .xml formats. -Free software upgrade when new enhancements are released for the QPCR software. Computer Specifications -Intel Celeron 1.7GHz 20 GB hard drive, 256 MB RAM, and CD-RW drive The Government intends to purchase this requirement as a Sole Source from Stratagene.
