- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) has a requirement for custom welded shelf rack with heating element. The unit is equipped with 7 shelves with 10.00" between shelves. The underside of 6 shelves will be equipped with an Electrofilm Manufacturing heating pad with individual shelf controls housed in the heating plenum. The pads will be 14.00" wide and centered under the shelf. Animal cages will be placed on the racks that have heating pads on them. The separate temperature control knobs allow control over the amount of heat the cages are receiving. Nominal size: 64" wide x 27" deep x 73" high without plenum and 79" wide x 27" deep x73" high with plenum. The Request for Quote (RFQ #PPR60077) will be issued as full and open competition and may may be requested by submitting, in writing, company name, address, point of contact, and telephone number. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This purchase is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
