- Description
- The Department of Justice (DOJ) is developing an acquisition strategy for its requirement for accounting, audit and advisory services as required by the DOJ Office of the Inspector General (OIG). As part of this process, we are seeking information about small businesses that are capable of providing these services. Please note that this is a market survey for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). There is no solicitation document available; no contract will be awarded based on this announcement; no reimbursement will be made for costs associated with responding to this announcement; and no telephone calls about this announcement will be accepted or acknowledged. All responses must be submitted via e-mail in accordance with the instructions that follow: Generally, the work covers financial statement audits, attestation engagements, performance audits, computer security audits, training or any other necessary auditing/advisory service. Only firms that can meet the following requirements would be considered for an award: (1) previous experience conducting Federal Financial Statement Audits; (2) ability to provide a large number (15+) of qualified auditors; (3) current participation in the formal peer review process required by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and (4) possession, at time of proposal submission, of at least a current Secret Facilities Clearance. You are asked to provide detailed and concise information about your experience and ability to meet the stated requirements. In addition, your response shall include a list of up to five (5) Government projects, completed within the past three (3) years, for Federal Financial Statement Audits, to include the contract number, dollar value, period of performance, current status, and current point of contact information at the Federal entity including name, address, telephone number, and email address. Contractors are asked to identify their business type: large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged, HUB-Zone small, woman-owned small, veteran-owned small, service-disabled veteran-owned small as based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541211 with a size standard of $7.5M. The term Small Business Concern means a concern, including its affiliates, that is independently owned and operated, not dominant in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, and qualified as a small business under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR Part 121. Responders are cautioned; however, that this is a general description only; additional standards and conditions apply. Refer to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 19), at www.arnet.gov, for additional detailed information on Small Business Size Standards. You should know that if a solicitation is released, the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website will contain a synopsis. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the site for additional information. In addition, all responses must be submitted electronically to Charlotte.S.Rupprecht@usdoj.gov and be received no later than March 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
