Description
On or about March 24, 2006 this office will issue a Request for Quote for a 5-Year Firm Fixed Price Contract with a base and options for Evaluation of Biological Responses of Pallid Sturgeon and the Missouri River Fish Fauna to Flow Modification via Gavins Point Dam, Lower Missouri River with options for Related Biological Monitoring, Population Assessments and Scientific Studies, under NAICS Code 541690, in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers and its customers. The Government will award one co ntract from Solicitation Number W9128F-06-Q-0018 for basic work and options, which will not exceed a total of five (5) years. This contract will be a sole source award to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission which has the unique capabilities required to provide these specialized services in support of endangered species recovery efforts. Since the inception of these recovery efforts the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has partnered with the U.S. Corps of Engineers and other State and Federal Agencies who perform Pallid Sturgeon recovery work along their respective segments of the river. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission was selected for this award because this is a follow-on contract and they possess the biological experience, expertise, knowledg e, and refined techniques to perform this service intended to further the restoration of fish, wildlife, historic and ecosystem function which is relevant to the recovery of Pallid Sturgeon.
