Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION by the National Park Service office in Denver, CO, for commercial items (USED HAY EQUIPMENT) prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This request is being issued as Request for Quotation #Q158606A001. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions enclosed within are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-07. FAR clauses and provision are available through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This acquisition is set aside for small business, and the National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged, veteran, and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423820 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. All equipment offered under this solicitation must be located within a 400 mile radius of Grant - Kohrs Ranch NHS, 266 Warren Lane, Deer Lodge, MT 59722. The Government Technical Representative (GTR) will inspect any item of equipment chosen for consideration and prepare a life-cyle value analysis before recommending acceptance to the Contracting Officer (CO). The CO is the only person authorized to commit the Government to the expenditure of funds. Respondents to this solicitation may present more that one item of used equipment in each category for the Government's consideration. The government will screen all offered item for possible inspection. The Government may purchase one or more items of equipment from any single, or combination of, vendors who respond to this solicitation. One or two photographs of each item of equipemnt may be helpful for the Government's technical representative, but photographs are not required. Digital photographs may be via email to Gordon_Keller@nps.gov, or posted on the vendor's own website with links provided for visual inspection. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: USED HAY EQUIPMENT: All equipment must be in good condition. "Good" condition means that the equipment is free of any major defects. It has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust.
