Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Riverdale, MD, intends to negotiate solely with Crown Plaza Washington National Airport Hotel at 1480 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA., as the Government knows of no other source available, to rent the following: 1. Large Conference Room at hotel to seat 200 people on the 18th and 19th of July 2006 (these dates are firm) this price is to include am/pm break service/light refreshments, also to setup room in classroom style, tablecloths, water to be furnished to each table (pitcher and glasses). 2. Five (5) breakout spaces/rooms seating 500 daily, set up in theater style, with table and chairs. 3. Provide a sandwich buffet (sandwiches & sodas) for 170 people for a working lunch on July 18, 2006. 4. Provide the following audio visual equipment: screen, sound system, podium, mic; wireless. 5. Hotel proximity to Metro Transit must be within one city block of hotel. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Authority: 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1). This procurement will be conducted as Commercial Item acquisition under FAR Part 12. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This effort is advertised under NAICS 721110.
