- Provide courier services transporting biological specimens in accordance with the terms and conditions of the statement of work for the Microbiology Department at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii. Solicitation W81K02-06-T-0050 applies. This is a firm fixed-price, non-personal services, type contract. The services to be performed under this contract are primarily to transport lab samples, not to exceed 20 pounds, between Tripler Army Medical Center, Scholfield Barracks Health Clinic, Hickem A ir Force Base Clinic, And Pearl Harbor Makalapa Clinic on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Normal service is Monday through Friday and on-call services 24 hours, 7 days a week (24/7). Turn-around-time for delivery between locations is will not exceed 1 hour fr om the last designated location pick up. Contents of cargo are biologicals and are temperature sensitive. Temperature should not exceed 25 degrees Celsius. Courier shall comply with Hawaii State, Department of Defense, and U. S. Department of Transporta tions regulations for transportation of diagnostic specimens. Contractor shall submit documentation of its ground transport personnel indicating that they have satisfactorily completed training on transportation regulations of biohazards, notification pro cedures in case of accidents or spills, and patient confidentiality practice in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations every 2 years to the Department of Pathology Quality Manager. Contractor shall provide insurance coverage as required by s tate, Department of Defense, and Department of Transportation regulations. Contract period is for approximately 6-months (16 Apr 06 through 30 Sept 06). The proposed acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
