- The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Office of the Director (OD), Center for Strategic Science and Technology Initiatives (CSTI) plans to contract on a sole source basis with Bell Harbor International Conference Center, 2211 Alaskan Way, Pier 66, Seattle, WA 98121 for: Audio-Visual services for the Pacific Health Summit 2006. The acquisition is being conducted under the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 532490 and the business size standard is $6.5M. Background: The Bell Harbor International Conference Center has been selected as the site for the Pacific Health Summit 2006 by The National Bureau of Asian Research. The summit forum will be a 3-day event that provides structured sessions on progress reports of global research and technology teams, keynote lectures, symposia on emerging health issues, and interactive group sessions. Participants will be world leaders from business, health, government, industry, information technology, and public advocacy realms. NCI personnel will be participating in meetings as part of the Large Pacific Summit meeting and will need audio-visual equipment services at those meetings. The Bell Harbor International Conference Center is the selected location and therefore, is the only known source to the NCI that can successfully provide these services. Period of Performance: June 20, 2006 ? June 22, 2006. This is a notice of intent not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirements, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other furnished information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can fully meet the requirements herein. Capability statements must be received in the contracting office by 1:00 PM EST on April 5, 2006. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
