Description
The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) Cardiac Cath Lab of Medical Service at the Audie L. Murphy Division has a requirement for the BARD Peripheral Vascular Stent grafts. The Audie L. Murphy Division, San Antonio, TX, proposes to negotiate and award a sole source consignment contract to BARD Peripheral Vascular, a subsidiary of C.R. Bard. BARD Peripheral Vascular is to provide the Fluency Plus Tracheobronchial Stent graft in various sizes. BARD Peripheral Vascular is the manufacturer and sole distributor of this type of stent. Contract will be for a year from date of award with two-one year renewal options. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 13.501(a)(2)(I), test program, using simplified acquisition procedures. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify interest and ability within five days from the date of publication of this synopsis. This interest and ability must be addressed in writing to the Contracting Officer. Determination whether to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. RFQ will be issued on/about 3/27/06. The NAICS code for this procurement is 423450 and 100 employees. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later that 4:30pm CST, April 3, 2006. Federal Acquisition Regulations requires that Federal contractors register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and enter all mandatory information into the system. Award cannot be made until the contractor is registered. Offerors are encouraged to ensure that they are registered prior to submitting their offer.
