- Description
- NAICS Code: 323119 NAICS Code: 321999 The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Office of Solid Waste Permits and State Programs Divisions, Corrective Action Program Branch (CAPB) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13-Simplified Acquisition to Rivanna Natural Designs, INC, of Charlottesville, VA. The purpose of this acquisition is to present 120 plaques at the 2006 Notable Achievement Awards to individuals at both EPA Headquarters, and Regional offices on 19 April, 2006. The estimated value of this procurement is $27,419.75. The selected vendor uses renewable wood and/or recycled materials (including recycled glass) as well as reclaimed wood to create their award products. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Efforts to recreate a similar database, and/or develop alternate sources for this requirement would result in significant additional costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to US EPA, Attn: Jessica V. Ross (61178), 1200 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20460, or sent by email to: ross.jessica@epa.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this notice must be submitted within five (5) days after this electronic posting. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
