Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to Sole Source purchase a Plot Combine with the following specifications from Kincaid Equipment of Haven, KS: Enclosed cab with A/C, Heat and Cassette Radio, a minimum ground clearance of 14", Soybean header of at least 78" with cutter bar, air cleanout, 6-Batt Hume-type reel is required and must be controlled from cab with forward and aft movement. Set of Crop Lifters. The 6-batt reel will handle the larger grain capacity that will be harvested. Table Auger with Chain, rubber belt will not be accepted. Capability to float on ground without the assistance of tires and to harvest plots with multiple row spacings of 7" to 40". Grain delivery to weigh cell/bucket must be by self-cleaning mechanical paddle wheel system (Pneumatic deliver and air clean out is not sufficient to handle the quantity of grain that will be harvested and is not sufficient to clean out combine adequately between plots). A three-speed manual / hydrostatic transmission. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must be capable of harvesting lodged crops or weed infested crops. The Combine will be delivered FOB to the USDA-ARS, Crops Genetics & Productions Research Unit, Stoneville, MS 38776. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about April 11, 2006 with bids being due May 11, 2006. These dates are tentative and will be specified in the IFB package.
