Description

This is a NAME BRAND OR EQUAL synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Dining Facility. The U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Dining Facility equipment that provides 12,000 meals daily for the cadets ranging over 4,200 cadets is outdated and past life expectancy requirements. The Equipment must conform to the 2001 FDA code requirements for sanitation. Fire and safety codes and requirements must also be met by all of the equipment. Replacement of the equipment is critical to prevent the mission of the Cadet Dining Facility from being compromised or shut down. The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, in support of the Cadet Dining Facility, intends to award a commercial purchase order for the following requirement: LINE ITEM 0001: ALVEY MODEL KS-88 PAN RACK CAR AND CABINET WASHER, QTY: 1 EA. Please Note: This is a Name Brand or Equal Requirement IAW commercial items or services of a NAME BRAND OR EQUAL item. A solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), in the near future, in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 423440 and the business size standard is 100 employees. This synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for the proposed acquisition is reserved as a set-aside for Hubzone small businesses only. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. However, the Government intends to award this purchase order to a Hubzone small business only. The purpose of this synopsis is to solicit interest from HubZone Small Businesses. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. A solicitation in the form of a Request For Quote will be issued in the near future after the closing of the synopsis. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. ?See Note 22?.
