Description

The Government intends to solicit Raytheon Co. In Marlborough, MA to upgrade the existing AN/TSC-154, Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical Terminal (SMART-T) Training System at Fort Gordon to address changes associated with Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) capability. This effort will encompass an upgrade to the computer workstations, ancillary equipment and software and provide additional training for the Extended Data Rate, Backward-Compatible Medium Data Rate and Low Data Rate mode capabilities. The upgraded system will include a Distance Learning capability for remote training and an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual. It is estimated that this effort will be performed over a twenty-four month period. Raytheon is the develo per/manufacturer of the SMART-T and award of this effort will be placed as a modification to the SMART-T Contract No. DAAB07-96-C-A757. The Government does not possess the technical data or form, fit and function (F3) drawing package on the terminal or tr aining system and is therefore unable to provide such data to any prospective offeror. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on or about December 29, 2005. This action will be pursued on a sole source basis IAW FAR 6.302-1 Only One Respo nsible Source. See Note 22.
