- THIS IS A RE-RELEASE OF THE PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR UPLOADING PURPOSES ONLY. ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE WAS FEB.09,2006. Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to replace lighthouse roofs at Duluth South Breakwater Light and Superior Entry South Breakwater Light located in Duluth, MN. Major work items for Duluth South Breakwater Light: Demolish and remove existing interlocking shingles, underlayment and flashing. Remove all fasteners and clean the underlying roof deck necessary to receive new materials. Place new membrane underlayment over the entire roof deck, including dormers, crickets, and other roof surfaces. Install new flashing along eaves, rakes, transitions, and valleys and around roof penetrations. Membrane shall be self-adhering rubber specifically manufactured for ice protection applied to the roof deck. Provide and install new standing seam metal roofing over the roof deck. Assure roofing is properly secured using fasteners. Seams shall be properly locked and crimped. Use open valley flashing at dormer and cricket locations. Major work items for Superior Entry South Breakwater Light: Remove existing standing seam metal roofing, flashing and underlayment from the lighthouse. Replace approximately 80 SF of deteriorated roof deck boards with new ? inch by 6 foot wide tongue and groove planking. Place new membrane underlayment over the roof deck. Fold top edges of membranes to form pleats as necessary to compensate for curvature of end sections of roof. Install flashing along eaves, light tower, chimney and penetrations. Install new standing seam metal roofing. Shape roof panels to accommodate curvature of ends of roof. Fasten and seam. Remove deteriorated masonry material along top edge of eave and replace with new mortar/non-shrink grout to match existing eave profile. Drill and epoxy anchor rebar dowels and extend rebar longitudinally through the patch. Approx. 10 lineal feet of eave will be replaced. This procurement is estimated between $100K and $250K. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS is 238160/$13.0M. Completion time is 91 DANTP. All responsible small businesses may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Award of contract will be made on the basis of Best Value to the Government.
