Description

1) HVAC System ? Provide new roof top unit for cooling and heating of the gymnasium. Install supply and return ductwork for occupied areas. The project scope entails removal of antiquated hot water boiler, chiller and associated hydronic piping; removal of underground heating oil storage tank and installation of a new HVAC system for 12,000 GSF gymnasium building. (For estimating purposes only, provide 400? 1/0 THHN copper conductor, 100? 1 ?? GRS, a 250 ampere, three phase safety switch and a 150 ampere, three phase circuit breaker. (Actual electrical design to be by qualified electrical contractor). POSSIBLE ASBESTOS RELATED WORK: The asbestos survey identifies asbestos-containing pipe insulation and pipe compound in various areas throughout the building. If the HVAC project disturbs the in-place asbestos, the asbestos must be abated according to EPA regulations before proceeding with the work. 2) Roof Eaves ? Remove the edge flashing, fascia boards, nailer plates, and cant strips at the entire perimeter of the upper gymnasium roof. Remove approximately 12 inches of the rotten roof decking by saw cutting approximately 80 LF on each of two sides of the roof (Total Approx. 160 LF). Replace the top and bottom nailer boards with 2 x 4 pressure treated lumber (Approx. 160 LF). Replace fascia board with 1 x 8 pressure treated lumber (Approx 360 LF). Replace the edge flashing with tem coated stainless steel TCS flashing (Approx 360 LF). Paint all naew work with alkyd primer and two coats of alkyd enamel. 3) Roof Repair / Replacement ? Replace the roof membrane and roof insulation with two inch extruded, high density, polystyrene roof insulation and 60 mill EPDM adhered roof membrane (Approx. 13,000 SF).
