Description

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT RESTROOM AND SHOWER FACILITY AT MAGNOLIA RIDGE PARK, TOWN BLUFF RESERVOIR, TEXAS W9126G-06-T-0026 Point of Contact: Andrea Wells, Contract Specialist, (817) 886-1061. The work will consist of the Contractor furnishing all equipment, personnel, supervision, materials, supplies, fuel, lubricants, and maintenance of equipment to perform various tasks associated with the design and construction of a restroom and shower faci lity at Magnolia Ridge Park, Town Bluff Reservoir, Texas, in accordance with the attached scope of work. This contract is a fixed price construction contract with a magnitude of $25,000 to $100,000. The Contractor must fully coordinate all work with the COR prior to performing any work. The Contractor shall be required to commence work under this contract within ten (10) calendar days after the prework conference and approval of the necessary bonding protection. The Contractor is not to commence work un der this purchase order until a signed copy of the Notice to Proceed is fully executed by the Contracting Officer. The performance period for the entire work ready for use is ninety (90) calendar days. The time stated for completion shall include final c leanup of the premises. The Contractor shall be required to design and construct a complete restroom and shower facility of approximate overall size 34 feet long by 26 feet wide, ready for public use. This work includes, but is not limited to construction of the restroom building, concrete foundation, utilities, and their hookup to service lines, privacy screens, sidewalks, masonry, cleanup, etc. All utility service lines (water, sewer, and electric) will be brought to within twenty feet of the building by the Government. If existing utility service lines require relocation because of possible interference with the Contractor's work, these utility lines shall be relocated by the Government. The Contractor is required to comply with the attached scope of wo rk for further project specifications. Davis Bacon Wage Decisions are applicable. The Contractor is encouraged to make a site visit which can be arranged by contacting Mr. Alvin W. Schriefer at 409/429-3491 or Mr. Bill Taylor at 409/384-5716 during norma l business hours. Estimated Construction Range: Between $25,000 & $100,000. Solicitation will issue on 3 April 2006. Bids will be due 12 April 2006 by 2:00 PM, central time. Duration of project 90 calendar days. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAIC S) Code applicable to this project is 236220. Small Business Size Standard is $31,000,000.00. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submissi on of a subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractors total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 43%; Small Disadvantages Business, 16.5%; Wome n-Owned Small Business, 5.7%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, 1.5%; and HUBZone Small Business, 8.0%. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through the Internet. The Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
