- SOURCES SOUGHT Qualified commercial sources are currently being sought for a regional commercial furniture procurement. The Government is considering issuing a solicitation/contract for commercial furniture, possibly on a whole room or packaged furniture basis, to supply U.S. Naval shore installations located throughout Navy Region Southeast. At this time, the contract is anticipated to include primarily residential bachelor housing furniture. The interested contractors must be able to provide all bachelor housing and dormitory furniture requirements, such as window treatments, desks, beds, mattresses, wardrobes, TV stands, activity tables, sofas, chairs, wall hangings, linens, carpet, etc. The requirement will include delivery, installation, and set-up. Anticipated responses to this announcement are sought to identify industry sources that believe they have the comprehensive knowledge, facilities, skills, and capacity to meet the Navy?s overall requirement for implementing a proposed regional furniture contract. All interested companies are encouraged to submit the following: ?Company profile ?Business size [Small businesses shall identify their business status (i.e. HUBZone small business, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman-owned, Native American (tribally owned or Alaskan native).] ?Names, telephone numbers and email addresses of points of contact ?Past projects of similar size and complexity. (Please include point of contact name, phone number, contract number, and dollar value of contract.) ?Depth and breadth furniture catalog ?Current distribution system (Including any experiences with emergency supply situations and how response to those situations was handled.) ?Any innovations currently utilized for this type of commodity ?Industry commercial standard for delivery of this type of commodity ?Contractual terms and conditions affecting pricing (i.e. delivery, ordering, etc.) ?Customer service procedures ?Subcontracting relationships (i.e. JWOD NIB/NISH) ?Any information, not already mentioned, that would need to be included in a solicitation to industry, in order for contractors to clearly understand and bid on the requirement This request for information in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will be compensated in any way by the US Government for information or materials provided.
