Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 341st Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential business sources to perform base-wide custodial services. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov as available. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720, Janitorial Services. This contract will be for a basic period of one year with four, one-year options. It is anticipated that a firm fixed-price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The purpose of custodial cleaning at Malmstrom Air Force Base (MAFB), Montana, is to ensure a healthy, safe, professional and pleasant working environment. Our objective is to standardize as much as possible, the scope and service levels for all facilities covered under the contract and minimize government employee effort in performing custodial service in work areas. The service provider shall provide all personnel, tools, materials, vehicles, equipment, supplies, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform the specified services. There are approximately 36 base facilities included in this requirement; the medical clinic is not included. Categories consist of hallways, entrances, common areas, offices and conference rooms (approximately 244,000 SF), commander office areas, restrooms and locker rooms, facilities with applicable health standards and codes, and various areas for special events. Some areas receive heavy use in the course of a typical day, and some support 24-hour operations. The service provider shall work in close coordination with facility managers and maintenance personnel to maintain and restore facilities to a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment while minimizing disturbances to the base community. The service provider shall respond to customer needs in a timely, responsive, and flexible manner. The contractor shall perform to the standards in the contract as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. This requirement will involve contractor performance of multiple tasks required to provide complete custodial services. Subject to change, this requirement includes, but is not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, shampooing, stripping and waxing of floors; emptying of interior trash cans; cleaning restrooms; dusting; and cleaning of furniture and appliances. The service provider through innovation, technology, or other means, shall perform the required cleaning services at frequencies determined by the service provider. Performance will be based primarily on the Government's evaluation of results, not the frequency or method of performance. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief statement of current capability and letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide the following information: (1) company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type and business size; (2) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contract (not to exceed five) to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value and type of contract, period of performance, and brief description; and (3) information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this service. Respondents are asked to limit submissions to ten (5) pages or less, or the minimum number of pages necessary to address the requirements specified in this announcement. Any information provided is voluntary. In order to be considered in this market survey, responses are required not later than close of business 7 Apr 06. Fax responses are acceptable; confirm receipt is recommended. Written responses must be mailed to: 341st Contracting Squadron, Attn: Lisa Murphy, 7015 Goddard Drive, Malmstrom AFB, MT 59402-6863.
