Description

Rock Island Arsenal Part Number: 341600X064030, CNC Lathe. The lathe to be provided shall possess, but not be limited to, the specifications, features and salient characteristics stated in Rock Island Arsenal Purchase Description (RIPD) J4000-06-9-8 7, dated 09-Feb-2006. The lathe shall consist of bed and base, reservoir type coolant pan, headstock spindle and spindle drive, infinitely variable speed spindle capability, carriage, cross slide, tool post, tailstock, digital control and all other equip m ent/components needed to make the lathe completely functional. Requirement is One each, with an Option for Four each additional units. Delivery is Four Weeks after receipt of order, in accordnace with RIPD J4000-06-9-87.Delivery shall be FOB Destinatio n to Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island IL 61299. Approximate solicitation issue date is 28-Mar-2006, with a closing date of 26-Apr-2006. Once issued, copies of the solicitation and RIPD J4000-06-9-87 will be available for download from the Army Single Fac e to Industry website at http://acquisition.army.mil. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list . It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. The proposed contract is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classificat i on Code is 333512, 500 employees.
