Description

Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD has a requirement to obtain repair and maintenance services of the SONY DIR-1000 recorder that is installed in the Magnetic Media/Data Recording Laboratory at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with Sony Pro Services, PO Box 23881, Oakland CA 94623, who has been identified as teh only company to offer direct repair and maintenance onsite that is form, fit, function and part number equivalent with the Sony Electronics recorders. Sony Pro Services is the only known company that can provide this highly specialized repair and maintenance for the DIR-1000 recorder. Market research was performed via attending conferences, and reading technical publications along with conferring with other government agencies involved with magnetic recording. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the resonses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to eb eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423, or by accessing the CCR website at http:///ccr.edi.isa.mil/. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government.
