Description
NASA/SSC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for an insulated aerial manlift. This instrument is required to have the following salient characteristics: The non-overcenter material handling aerial device shall be used at Stennis Space Center for maintenance and operations of the 40 plus miles of on-site overhead distribution system. The non-overcenter material handling aerial device shall be able capable of reaching a working height 60 feet and similar to a Hi-Ranger 5TC-55. The job is ideal for lifting tools and equipment to assist any lineman. The 5TC-55 material handler shall be mounted on a truck and shall be equipped with the features customers need to be productive. The configuration of the non-overcenter material handling aerial device as follows: similar to a 5TC boom assembly ? 55? platform height, Category C rating ? 46kv, shall be dielectrically tested to meet ANSI A92.2 requirements for 46-KV rating, turntable shall have full 360 degree rotation, a material handling hydraulic positioned jib with 105? tilt angle, two sets of ?A? frame outriggers, 90 degree platform rotation, side mounted, 2-man, 24? x 48? x 42? deep platform w/ insulated liner & cover, dual hydraulic tool outlet, auxiliary let down, amber strobe light and safety equipment, work lights, back-up alarm, line body tool boxes, truck grounding kit, 4800 International 4x4 truck or similar model, DT466 diesel engine ? 300hp, allison automatic MD transmission, 22,000# rear axle, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, 10-ton pintle hitch. The Period of Performance for this procurement is 120 days desired and 180 days required. Failure by the offeror to submit an offer not conforming to the aforementioned Period of Performance shall render the offer non-responsive, and the offer shall subsequently be rejected. There shall be no hard copies of the solicitation, technical specification, or drawings. All of the aforementioned information with respect to this acquisition will only be available electronically at the following address: http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=64 . **All offerors are reminded to check the above noted web address for the most current information with respect to this acquisition. Additionally, upon release of the solicitation all offerors are reminded that all correspondence with regard to the same shall be coordinated through the office of Procurement** This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 333120 and 750 employees respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The Government intends to acquire this commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Government reserves the exclusive right to award to other than low offer on this "Best Value" procurement. FOB is destination. The anticipated release date of this RFQ is on or about April 13, 2006 with responses due NLT 3:00 PM May 4, 2006.
