Description
SUBJECT: ANNUAL ATOMISTIX TOOLKIT MASTER LICENSE AND 4 SLAVE LICENSES. DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy???s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Scientific Software (Atomistix A/S), Rockefeller Komplekset, Copenhagen, Denmark for the purchase for the purchase of 1 Annual Atomistix Toolkit Master Licnese (with free Virtual Nano Lab GUI) and 4 Permanent Atomistix Toolkit Slave Licneses.. The following technical requirements are required: This purchase order is being issued to Scientific Software because this is an extension to our permanent Atomistix Toolkit License which was purchase from Scientific Software. The new items will allow expansion to parallel computing using the current package available in the Computational Chemistry Group. The Atomistix patented user-friendly software package for simulation and analysis of the Atomic Scale Properties of NanoScale devices. The program provides intuitive and comprehensive tools for gaining insight into the properties of NanoScale devices by simulating measurements through numerical calculations. The workflow within the program is designed to resemble an actual experimental process, and allows the user to set up ???virtual experiments??? through Atomistic modeling. A variety of instruments make it possible to model the geometry, electronic structure and electrical properties of the NanoScale System in an easy-to-use graphical interface. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by this agency. All interested firms must respond to DE-RQ26-06NT00280. Offerors shall provide sufficient technical literature, documents, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Therefore, no solicitation will result with this announcement. This award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) is 511210.
