- Description
- The U.S. Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Smiths Detection, Inc., 30 Hook Mountain Road, Pine Brook, NJ 07058 for equipment and accessories to proprietary equipment. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. Based on this requirement, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Only written e-mailed (patricia.kiely@usss.dhs.gov) inquiries will be responded to and must be received no later than 3:30 pm, local time, March 22,2006. The Government anticipates an award date on or about March 23, 2006. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. Note 22 is change to read 3-days in lieu of 45-days due to the urgency of the requirement.
