Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), located at 501 Gary Hill Road, Edgefield, South Carolina, has a future requirement for Solid Waste Removal, Disposal, and Rental services to include the rental of two 34 cubic yard compactors and one 30 cubic yard open top tash container. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562111 (Size Standard: $11.5 million). It is anticipated the Contractor will collect and dispose of approximately 800 tons of solid waste per year. The contractor will be responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting the receiver to the compactor. The removal and exchange of the 34 yard self-contained compactor from the FCI shall be accomplished twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays and shall be between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. An empty compactor shall replace the full compactor at the same time. The Contractor will be required to pick up and immediately return the 34 yard self-contained compactor at the FPC on Wednesdays between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Contractor will be required to pick up the 30 yard open top container at the FPC, averaging one time per month. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The anticipated contract period may consist of a 12 month base period with four-12 month option periods for renewal. A Government quotation to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about March 20, 2006, and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The response date for the market survey is April 6, 2006. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the market survey will be accepted. All responses to the Market Survey Questionnaire may be submitted in hard copy to U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, U. S.
