- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: AVNFWA60720032. The Regional Contracting Office, Fort Wainwright, AK intends to award a sole source purchase order to Chena Hot Springs Resort, Fairbanks, Alaska 99711-0740. Items to be purchased: 0001: Room acc omodation for 61 couples on the 28th and 29th of March 06, to include snow coach tour, ice museum tour, meals: 2 dinners, 1 breakfast, 1 lunch for 122 people, rooms for workshop and breakouts. The facility is far enough from family interruption and activit ies for keeping Strong and Ready Family Retreat. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 22 Mar 2006. This notice is neither a r equest for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered so lely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The closing date for this Synopsis is 22 Mar 2006 at 8:00 AM Alaska Standard Time.
