Description

The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bliss, Texas, intends to award a sole source order in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to the Mescalero Apache Tribe for 85 rooms for lodging, 2 conference rooms and associated catered items for a Fort Bliss senior lea dership off-site, 21-23 April 2006. The Mescalero Apache Tribe is the only source which can meet the Government's requirement for these services. No request for proposal is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a state ment of capability for satisfying this requirement within 3 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal nor Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate a cquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. All responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability including certifications and other informational literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. The responses must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. No telephone requests will be honored. Based upon responses to this notice, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If an award is made, it will be on the aggregate of the requirement. Responses are due by 4:00 p.m., MST, 23 March 2006.
