- The Special Notice number USA-SNOTE-060313-005 publishing the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity's (USAMRAA's) intent to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT with Esoterix Laboratories is amended to reflect USAMRAA's intent to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT with Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings. Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings acquired Esoterix Laboratories in May 2005 and have since merged and integrated. As stated in the original special notice, the same batte ry of tests/assays conducted by the same laboratory facilities using identical laboratory protocols, methods, processes and standards is essential to ensure statistical relevance. There are no other changes to the Special Notice posted on March 13, 2006. This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement under the authority of FAR 6.203-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, responses received from other responsible businesses prior to the close of business on 28 March 2006 will be evaluated. Offerors r esponding to this notice must provide proof that they can provide the requested laboratory tests/assays using identical laboratory protocols, methods, processes and standards. If you believe you can provide these services, please contact the Contract Spec ialist via e-mail Sherry.LaBella@amedd.army.mil on or before March 28, 2006. The response date remains March 28, 2006.
