Description
This procurement is "UNRESTRICTED" with the intent to award a minimum of two firm-fixed price, multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contracts for the various clients within Kanto plains operational area Japan, including Yokosuka, Urago, Azuma, Negishi, Ikego, North Dock Yokohama, Tsurumi, North Dock Tokyo, Camp Fuji Gotemba. The contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering, and transportation, except otherwise specified in the solicitation, necessary to perform various repairs, alteration, construction and demolition work to shore facilities. The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, office renovation, building demolition, built-in equipment repair / replacement, piping repair / replacement, pipe lagging, electrical work, road pavement, fencing, roofing, painting, site work, removal and disposal of lead based paint and asbestos containing material, welding and masonry. The size of a project that the Government anticipates awarding under this contract is mainly between 250,000 and 25,000,000 Japanese yen. This range is for information purposes only and may vary. Each contract will be for a term of 3 years consisting of one base year with two, one-year options. Each contract shall be awarded with a maximum ceiling of 950,000,000 yen. It is anticipated that the base and each option period will be for a period of 12 months or a ceiling of 950,000,000 yen, whichever occurs first. The guaranteed minimum is 2,500,000 yen for the base year only. The Government intends to issue the RFP on the WEB only. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for phase-one will be issued on or about 4 April 2006, with a proposal due date of 4 May 2006. The entire solicitation, including plans and specifications, will be available for viewing and downloading at https://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil Prospective offerors must register on the web site. The official planholder list will be maintained and can be printed from the web site. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments.
