- Description
- This amendment is issued to address questions posed by prospective offerors. Prospective Offerors are reminded that, as stated in the SOW, this system will be evaluated during developmental and operational testing. The experience gained will be used to develop HIDS requirements for all Coast Guard aircraft. QUESTION: Would the USCG consider a laptop solution that has met the flight safety test/requirements, and has met all the appropriate DOD mil standards? ANSWER: Laptops are not acceptable. The USCG is looking for a full time system. QUESTION: Please define format and parameters and description of data to be stored. ANSWER: 1553 and Ethernet data. QUESTION: Please provide record times i.e. up to 4 hours RS-170 etc… ANSWER: 4 hours threshold for RS-170 format video, 6 hours objective. QUESTION: Does the USCG want the data to be extracted / transmitted in a specific format? ANSWER: Video to be converted to MPEG2 or MPEG4 for extraction. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (20-MAR-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
