- Description
- The U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force, an organization that procures existing technology for rapid fielding in support of ongoing operations, has an interest in the following areas: - A remotely piloted, untethered aerial vehicle capable of loitering for 3-4 days at 12,000 to 25,000 feet above the ground (not above sea level), with a payload of 1000 to 2000 lbs, over austere terrain. The vehicle needs to be remotely piloted from a safe launching point 40Km to 80 Km to its loiter point. Should be silent or quiet. Purpose of loiter would be comms relay and/or persistent surveillance. Only a near term product, not an R&D project. - Efficient electrical power sources. Possibly new ideas in solar power. - Aerial magnetometer to scan 60 feet in front of a convoy. If your firm has an existing product that can address any of these areas, please respond to Tiffany Ferguson or Jim Harvey, US facilitators in London, who can put you in touch with the Rapid Equipping Force. Their phone numbers are +44-207-514-3169/4907.
