Description
Provide all necessary labor, material, transportation, equipment and supervision required to complete pier repairs at USCG Station St. Ignace, Michigan. Major items of work shall include the following: 1.1 Existing Vehicle Ramps: Saw cut and remove concrete around the outer end of the ramp insets as shown. 1.2 Fenders: Fabricate and install new fender assemblies along the north and south faces of the pier as shown. 1.3 New Concrete Apron/Seawall Stabilization: Excavate along the interior of the seawall between the vehicle ramps as indicated. 1.4: Paving: Saw cut along transitions indicated and remove concrete, curb and existing paving in the area shown. 1.5 Crack Filling: Clean cracks in existing concrete roadway and fill with an elastomeric sealant for use in concrete. 1.6 Bollards: Saw cut and remove a square concrete section from the top of the north wall as shown. 1.7 Ladders: Remove the existing stairs and replace with new steel ladder. 1.8 Handrails: Fabricate and install handrails along the top walls along the pier faces as shown. 1.9 Coping: Saw cut along length of coping at the east end of the pier and remove concrete from the top of the wall. 1.10 Fence: Remove the existing fence along the retaining wall and replace with a new chain fence with double gate as shown. 1.11 Miscellaneous Painting: Clean and paint the existing iron fence along the ramps and the gates at the entrance to the pier. The period of performance is 135 days after Notice to Proceed. Work cannot be started until after July 31, 2006 due to migratory bids. This procurement is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990 with a size standard of $31.0M.
