Description

THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSISThe 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for Accelrys Software for GCG SeqWeb License and Wisconsin Package. This is a Sole Source with Accelrys Software, Inc. IAW FAR 6.302-1. Accelrys Software, Inc. is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement to support the contract deliverable meteorological models. Mission requirements justify that the current modeling systems be maintained and this software will accomplish that task and will function with the current meteorological models running on the server. Other software products are extremely complex to use and are not authorized due to security restrictions. The Accelrys products were tested and proved simple to run and more cost effective. No solicitation documents exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 7372 with a business size of $23.0M and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 511210. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Accelrys Software, Inc. is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
