Description

This proposed procurement is unrestricted. Date of issue for specifications will be on or about 17 April 2006. Bid opening will be on or about 17 May 2006 at 2:00 PM CST. Magnitude is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Work includes Sandblast, clean, and paint all metal surfaces of bridge structure between monoliths 20 and 37. Regrout all pads beneath bridge bearings. Remove all bridge hatches located above the tainter gate hoist machinery; sandblast, clean, and paint defined surfaces of hatch and corres ponding seats and framing within the openings; reinstall hatches and seal all joints. Remove machinery access hatch adjacent to the tower; sandblast, clean, and paint metal edge of hatch and corresponding seats and framing within the openings; reinstall h atch and seal edges. Sandblast, clean, paint, and reseal all expansion joints of bridge deck. Replace deteriorated checkered plate steel angle support assembly with new bent plate support; weld new bent plate support in place; clean and paint. Re-attach existing checkered plate. Sandblast, clean, and paint top surfaces of existing checkered metal plate of catwalk. Sandblast, clean, and paint all surfaces of catwalk support framing visible and accessible from the top of the catwalk, specifically surfaces at or above elev. 699. Power tool or solvent clean and paint all surfaces of tainter gate hoist equipment machinery, conduit, and hoist drive shafts. Sandblast, clean, and paint surfaces of machinery support framing at each tainter gate hoist, elev. 699 and above. Re-attach checkered plate. Sandblast, clean, and paint all bottom surfaces of catwalk support and bottom surfaces of checkered plate. Sandblast, clean, and paint all tainter gate machinery hoist framing steel surfaces below elev. 699.
