Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for procurement of fifty-seven (57) Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) retrofit kits for the MK 2 Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) program. This requirement is a retrofit kit buy to support the tech refresh configurations of Mod 1A and Mod 3A, specifically in support of CVN 70, CVN 77 and LHD 8. This requirement will be issued to Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems division, 8680 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, California 92123-1502 as the original equipment manufacturer of SSDS. Subcontract with the original UPS manufacturer, Energy Technologies, Inc., is anticipated to acquire a more ruggedized version of the original part that was recently developed to address shock and vibration issues identified during Government testing.
