Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), Laredo Sector, Laredo, Texas, is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. No written solicitation will be issued. Solicitation Number HSBP060729 is used for reference purposes. This procurement is set-aside for small business. Award will be made to the technically acceptable, lowest priced quote from a responsible/responsive contractor. Statement of Work: Intent: To install 3-ton air conditioner for the 940 CEB room, building A, and set the existing air conditioner as a redundant/back up unit. Connect panel LC in 940 CEB room building A, and panel A in main CEB room building B to their emergency generator panels. The 940 CEB Room, Building A has had electrical equipment added to it for years. This has increased the heat load at or beyond that of the two-ton units. General Requirements: Contractor will be responsible for the purchase and installation of all materials. All materials used by contractor will be new. The contractor is responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing (at the discretion of the COTR) all Government property that is damaged by the prime contractor or any of its sub-contractors, such as but not limited to walls, floors, fixtures, etc. The contractor is responsible for repairing and cost of all items it damages below grade and during any excavation. All work will meet or exceed Municipal, Local, State, and National, (NEC, FCA, IEEE, NEMA, ANSI), codes and standards that apply, all items will be installed according to manufacture recommendations, and be consistent with work done at the journeyman, craftsman, level. Contractor shall perform a site inspection to study and ascertain size, amount, and type of materials needed and observe the sites general layout before being allowed to bid on this project. This is a turnkey project, all-inclusive single source of equipment materials and installation.
