***ATTENTION***03 APRIL 2006*** * *AMENDMENT TO THE SYNOPSIS***DETERMINED TO BE A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE REQUIREMENT.*** * * NON-PERSONAL SERVICES to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and any incidentals necessary to provide preventive and remedial maintenance for five (5) Metallograph Microscopes at Tinker AFB, OK. The basic period of performance will commence on 01 June 06 and complete on 30 SEP 06 with four one year options. The estimated award date is no later than 15 May 06. Central Contractor Registration is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at http://www.ccr.gov and contractor shall log on to http://www.bpn.gov/orca/ to activate the ORCA profile. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
