Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland intends to award a Sole Source follow-on contract to NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation of Warminster, Pennsylvania to perform tasks relative to technical services in support of PMA 226. Specific services to be procured include testing and verifying the Control, Display, and Navigation Unit (CDNU) software for the Aircraft Integrated Maintenance System (AIMS) installed the CH-46E helicopter. The procurement of these services will allow the Government to rapidly test the CDNU for proper functions during the final year (or two) of AIMS installation. NAVMAR has developed a unique understanding of the software in the CDNU and is currently providing these services which were originally awarded upon receipt of only one proposal, from NAVMAR, in a competitive environment. The intended period of performance for this contract is one year beginning 1 June 2006 with an option for an additional year of support. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
