- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service for one year with the potential for four option years, prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required service under RFQ N00189-06-T-0164 a subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. Contracting Department at FISC Norfolk intends to purchase the following service: (1) Calibrate service and repair oil meters, remove, repair if required (up to $200.00 max) and reinstall 17 each fuel oil meters located at Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Va.23511; and (2) Calibrate, service and repair if required (up to $200.00 Max), calibrate in place 9 each fuel oil meters located at St. Juliens Creek Annex, Portsmouth, Va. 23709. The Contractor shall be regularly engaged in the calibration of fuel oil meters for a period of at least 5 years prior to contract award date. Contractor shall also be certified by the State of Virginia, Department of Weights and Measures, to offer these services. The Contractor shall furnish adequate supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform fuel oil meter calibration services and minor repairs required under this contract in an orderly, timely, and efficient manner. The Government shall be responsible for providing access to meters for calibration. In addition, the Government shall provide the fuel and equipment line up required for calibrating the fuel oil meters. All work shall comply with the applicable requirements set forth in the following documents; (1) NFPA 30-1969 ? Flammable and Combustible Liquid Code, (2) 29CFR OSHA 1910 General Industry Regulations. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility and liability for compliance with all applicable regulations pertaining to the health and safety of their employees or subcontractors during the execution of work.
