Description

The General Services Administration plans to solicit full service elevator maintenance and management for 18 passenger elevators, 3 freight elevators, and 4 escalators at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building, Boston, MA. The contract will have a three (3) year base year, with two (2) one (1) year options. The service is expected to commence on or about February 1, 2006. Offerors will also be asked to submit proposal on the following: (1) Furnish and install 7 new Mechanical door operators along with hangers and clutch - Mid Rise Cars 7,8,9,10,11,12 and 13, (2) Furnish and install new Mechanical door tracks for hatch doors 105 total tracks – Mid Rise, (3) Furnish and install new Mechanical door operators along with hangers and clutch - High Rise Cars 1,2,3,4,5 and 6, (4) Furnish and install new Mechanical door tracks for hatch doors 66 Total tracks – High Rise, (5) Install new monitoring system for cars 1-6 High Rise, Mid Rise 7-13 and Kitchen Car 17. These services will be awarded to the successful offeror as delivery orders under the contract. The General Services Administration strongly encourages participation by small businesses and the related socioeconomic categories of small disadvantaged, women-owned, service disabled veteran owned, and HUBZone businesses. Small businesses that are capable of joint venturing are also strongly encouraged to submit an offer. The Solicitation is expected be issued on or about November 19, 2005.
