Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, WRD, Atlanta, Georgia 30360-2824 intends to award a non-competitive award via written request for quotation number 06ER29-NoSolicitation to Varian, Inc., 2700 Mitchell Dr, Walnut Creek, CA 94598-1602, for a one (1) year plus four (4) option years, full support agreement for the following instruments manufactured by Varian, Inc, (1 each) Atomic Absorption Spectrometer and A/S, (1 each) Vista ICP Spectrometer, (2 each) 280/800 Series Atomic Absorption Spectrometers, (1 each) VGA-77 Vapor Generation Assembly, all work will be performed by Varian factory- trained service technicians at the customer site. This notice is not to request competitive proposals but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the contracting officer, no later than the identified response date. No RFQ will be issued, the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302 for the proposed contract.
