Description

Sources Sought for B 25 Waste Packages with Certificate of Compliance. Containers designed and manufactured in compliances with 49 CFR 173.410 and 173.427, latest edition. Material: low carbon steel. Welding of all seams and joints shal be in accordance with AWS D1.3-1998 or lattest edition or ASME section IX. External dimensions: 72"L x 46"W x 47"H +/- 2-inches. Capacity: Box shall have a gross weight capacity limit of 9,000 lbs. Risers with drain holes (2 on each side, equuipped for forklift handling on long side of box and accessible from both sides. Lid shall have handling devices and integral gasket seal attached to the iner rim. Lids shall not buckle under normal handling, transport or storage. Mechanical closure devices, bolts and clips are acceptable. Exterior Surface shall be coated with rust inhibiting primer prior to application of smooth outer enamel finish. Interior Surface shall be coated with rust inhibitor. All boxes shall be stackableand provided with all applicable special handling instructions. Boxes shall be marked with a permanently affixed 6-digit identification number (non-repetitive). Serial number shall be legible after box is painted. The container shall be capable of supporting a uniformlt distributed load of 3,375 lbs/ft(squared). Contact Ed Martin for more details.
