- Description
- Utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, the General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Service (GSA/PBS) intends to award a contract to the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(3) – Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. No other solicitation documents are available. GSA will provide funding to the Federal Facilities Council (FFC) for the purpose of furthering its mission to identify and advance technologies, processes, and management practices that improve the performance of federal facilities over their entire life cycle, from planning to disposal. The FFC is a cooperative association of twenty-five (25) federal agencies, including GSA, with interests and responsibilities related to all aspects of facility design, acquisition, management, maintenance and evaluation. This proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and a determination by the government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties shall identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:30 pm, E.S.T.,Wednesday, April 19, 2006 to lucille.gillard@gsa.gov or virginia.burwell@gsa.gov or by fax to (202) 208-7413. Small businesses are encouraged to apply. Interested firms shall identify the firm’s status (i.e., Hubzone, 8(a), woman-owned, small disadvantaged, small or large business, veteran owned).
