- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National American Industry Classification Code is 811111 with a Business Size Standard of $6 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for a one time, firm-fixed price purchase of eight (8) RealPower, 12kW Generators, part number 5200089A. The firm-fixed price includes the generators, all parts and labor required for the conversion of the transmission, and installation of the generators on eight 2004 Ford Excursion Vans. A minimum of 12 months/12,000 mile warranty must be included on the re-built transmission and must be included in the proposed price. The area of competition is limited to a distance of 50 miles from the FBI Academy, Quantico, VA. Additionally, competition is limited to Ford Dealers to maintain the Ford Factory Warranty on the vehicles. The vehicles will be delivered and returned to the FBI by Bureau personnel. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. All compliant quotes received by the due date will be considered by the government. All quotes shall be submitted to FBI Academy, Hogan’s Alley, Building 15, Quantico, VA 22135, Attn: Gary Hopkins, no later than 1:00 PM, EST, 19 April 2006. Quotes will also be accepted by fax (703)632-1844 or email to ghopkin1@leo.gov. Quotes must clearly be marked with RFQ E002896. Bidders are hereby notified that if your quote is not received by the date/time and location specified in this announcement, it will not be considered. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with their offer. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-08. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provisions of 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, are applicable. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Addendum to 52.212-1 Modify: (b) Submission from offer(s) is to read as follows: Submit signed and dated offer(s) to the attention of Mr. Gary W. Addendum to 52.212-2 (a) Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors. Past Performance will be based on telephonic performance evaluations received from previous contracts provided in the quote. The evaluation of this RFQ will be in accordance with Parts 12, 13, and 15 of the FAR. Offerors must acquaint themselves with the new regulations concerning Commercial Item acquisition contained in FAR Subpart 12 and must ensure that all Representations and Certifications (located on the Internet) are executed and returned as required in this synopsis/solicitation.
