Description: The USDA Forest Service, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, is advertising for the above project located in the town of Washburn, Bayfield County, Wisconsin. The intent of the contract is for reconstruction of a .46 mile segment of FR697. The presence of highly erodable soils and moderately steep slopes combined with the existing layout contribute to large volumes of sediment being deposited into Four Mile Creek. This contract is designed to mitigate the situation. Construction will occur between April 15, 2006 and September 15, 2006. The estimated price range is less than $100,000. Payment protection will be required. The solicitation will be a request for quotation resulting in a best value award. ORCA is required.
