Description
Subject to final approval, the Bureau of the Public Debt, Administrative Resource Center intends to issue an order to Hyatt Regency, Miami, FL, for the Courthouse Access Advisory Committee of the Access Board. Service period will be May 16 ? May 20, 2006. The Access Board is a Federal Agency that develops and maintains accessibility requirements that entities with responsibilities under the American with Disabilities Act must meet. The Board both because of its members some with disabilities and because it must set a perfect example can only use hotel space, including individual rooms and meeting rooms that meet or exceed the Board?s accessibility guidelines. Given the sensitivity of this issue, the Board will only use a hotel for meeting and rooms after the Boards staff has checked the hotel for accessibility compliance. After checking several hotels in the Miami area, Access Board staff concluded the Hyatt Regency, Miami is the only hotel that meets the unique needs of the Access Board for their meeting and individual room service requirements for this meeting. Specifically, the hotel has meeting rooms of the size and with accessibility options needed by the Board and sleeping rooms available on the dates needed by the Board (May 16 - 20, 2006). The hotel has the required number of accessible rooms and most importantly, accessible rooms with roll-in showers. All sections of the hotel have been found to meet or exceed the Access Boards standards. The hotel is centrally located for the participants with great access for individuals with disabilities. Needs vary but include roll-in showers, hearing impaired, and guide dog services. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt Administrative Resource Center will consider all affirmative responses received no later than Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 12:00 pm EDT. Affirmative responses shall reference ABA-02010-06-0049 and shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the required services or functional equivalent at terms more advantageous to the Government. Requests for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered affirmative responses. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be issued to the Hyatt Regency, Miami for these services.
