- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons (BOP), United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), located at 2020 Canaan Road, Waymart, Pennsylvania, has a future requirement for Solid Waste Removal and Rental services to include two 39 cubic yard, Government-owned compactors and the Rental of one 30 cubic yard open top tash container. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562111 (Size Standard: $10.5 million). All task orders are subject to the terms conditions of this contract. This contract is for pulling, emptying, and returning the compactors only. The contractor will be responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting the receiver to the compactor. The removal/exchange of one (1) 39 yard waste container inside the secure perimeter of the United States Penitentiary shall normally be performed on Tuesday and Friday each week between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The full container shall be pulled from the secure perimeter of the penitentiary and located inside the rear sallyport (a secured area). The full container will remain within this secure area for a period of 24 hours. Once the full container has been secured in the rear sallyport, a spare (empty) container located outside of the secure perimeter of the penitentiary shall be picked up and attached to the compaction unit inside the penitentiary. At no time shall the United States Penitentiary be without a solid waste compactor or service. The removal and exchange of the 39 yard waste container from the Federal Prison Camp shall normally be accomplished on Friday of each week between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. An empty waste container must be returned and attached to the compaction unit within two hours of the removal of the full container. The removal/ exchange/disposal of the rental 30 cubic yard open top trash container, located adjacent to the warehouse building, shall normally be accomplished on Friday of each week between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The anticipated contract period may consist of a 12 month base period with four-12 month option periods for renewal. A Government quotation to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about November 10, 2005, and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration’s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The response date for the market survey is December 1, 2005. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the market survey will be accepted.
