- Description
- The Kootenai National Forest, Libby Ranger District, is requesting proposals for the reclamation of the Big Cherry Creek Mill site. Work includes, but is not limited to, clearing, grubbing, and decking of existing trees on the repository and tailings pond sites; construction of an on-site repository; excavation, hauling, and placement of tailings and waste rock into the repository; construction of a repository cap including an HDPE cap system; install a drain system; back haul and place clean fill material in the reclaimed area; cover repository with sub-soil and top soil; installation of a monitoring well; and re-contouring, seeding, fertilizing, and mulching of disturbed areas. The project site is located approximately 11 miles south of Libby, Montana. Estimated start date is July 10, 2006. The price range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
