N/A!! 16. N/A!! 17. The Directorate of Contractingn (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for Digital Mission Data Recorders Download Cables for the Army AH-64D Apache Longbow Helicopter. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Agency in tends to enter into a firm-fixed-price, supply-type contract with Data Device Corporation located in Bohemia, New York. The basis for restricting competition is the proprietary rights of Data Device Corporation and the duplicative cost to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Governments requirement. See numbered note 22. Required quantities are 10 each of the P/N BU-65553M2-300 Mission Data Recorder Dowload Cable which has been approved for use with the AH-64D fleet. NAICS code for thi s procurement is 334418 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTI CE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 days from the date of the publication of this sy nopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the manufacturer, Data Device Corporation. Responses are due by 24 Apr il 2006, 4:00 p.m. (CST).
