Description: The Government is intending to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract to Rajant Corporation for engineering support for the Portable Emergency Broadband System (PEBS). The PEBS was developed under Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Solicitation Topic Numb er S0408 for Urban/Subterranean Networking Technology. Additional engineering support is required to mature the technology used in this system. The proposed effort will provide important enhancements to the Breadcrumb WLAN, including alternate power source s, rugged packaging, position location within a building, information security for data and voice, and Quality of Service implementation. See Note 22.
